2024 Benjamin Moore Color of the Year
And the Benjamin Moore color of the year for 2024 is…..Blue Nova 825! What do you think of it?
You know I love a good blue and have shared my 20 favorite ways to decorate with blue and white, as well as how to use blue and copper together. Our home has blue elements in the living room and family room. And I even decorated our Christmas tree with a blue theme last year!
Let’s take a deeper look at the chosen color for 2024.
What color is Blue Nova 825?
Blue Nova is a deep blue with hints of gray and violet. It’s a strong color choice that would make a statement in any room.
This year’s color of the year from Benjamin Moore is cool and energetic. It’s an updated version of Hale Navy that’s been popular for several years.
What is the LRV of Blue Nova?
Blue Nova is on the darker side of the spectrum with a Light Reflective Value of 16.98.
How does Blue Nova 825 make a room feel?
Any room painted with this color would feel calm, cozy, and cool. It’s reminiscent of looking at the evening sky and has a somewhat mysterious feeling to it.
What whites and off whites that go with Blue Nova 825?
Using a white or off-white paint color for trim or accents will really make this color pop. Here are some complementary white and neutral colors to use with it:
What are the undertones of Blue Nova 825
You’ll find violet and gray undertones in this lively blue color.
Blue Nova 825 Bedroom
Did you know that blue is one of the best colors for bedroom walls? According to color theory, blue walls create a tranquil, relaxing setting that’s ideal for bedrooms. And darker blues make it easier to sleep since the light won’t be reflecting against the walls as much as it does with lighter colors.
We had our bedroom walls painted with a very similar blue back in the 90’s and it was such a restful space.

How and where to use Blue Nova 825
Where to use this color depends on how much you like bold blue hues. If you like them in small doses, try it on an accent wall, piece of furniture, or even a picture frame.
You could also use this color in a bedroom, laundry room, kitchen, or living room.
