Fall Tiered Tray Decor

Fall decorating this year will bring joy like never before, am I right? It’s always
something I look forward to, but with all the craziness going on it’s
especially nice to bring out some warm colors and cozy items for fall. Today
I’m joining with 20 of my talented blogging friends and we’re sharing ideas
for all around your house for the 6th annual Fall Ideas Tour.

There are some beautiful fall decorating ideas for your mantels, tables,
porches, tiered trays, and some fun fall DIY’s too! All of the posts are at
the bottom so keep scrolling when you finish reading my fall tiered tray decor
ideas.

I’ve been bitten with the
tiered tray
bug and have had so much fun decorating mine for each season. For fall, I
decided to go with a vintage theme using some soft colors and several of my
favorite vintage finds.

vintage postcards from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

One of the items I’m using is a little packet of  vintage Great Smoky Mountains postcards. It’s special to me because it was in my father-in-law’s belongings, plus
we’re only about an hour away from this beautiful place. We’ve done many hikes
and drives through the park to enjoy fall foliage and temperatures.

I used the colors in the postcards as my inspiration for color and added soft
blues, greens, rusts, and orange items. My
vintage Dr. Pepper bottle
is such a pretty hue with its soft blue-green.

I raided the back yard for some pretty dried money plant branches to put
inside the bottle. They’re so delicate and have a soft neutral color and a
nice texture. The fall colored preserved boxwood items have a nice autumn
vibe and add more natural texture to the
tiered tray.

For some browns, I used some of my vintage amber bottles. I love the color of these beauties. I tucked a couple of feathers inside
one of them for a bit more natural texture.

A vintage book, some dried hydrangeas, and dried oranges add even more color
and texture to the tray.

I finished it all off with a wood bead garland and some little pine cones
and nuts.

It took about an hour of rearranging things to get it to look like this and
I’ll be able to enjoy it for the next few months. Unless our kittens get
ahold of it, that is.

We have 2 kittens that are about 4 months old and they’re very curious and
rambunctious. It’s like we have two toddlers and I’ve had to
rethink everything I have sitting out around the house! They’re adorable but
exhausting.

  20. Angie, I love your tiered tray. (all of them really) I especially love the idea of taking a special piece and using it for inspiration and a color scheme. Your vintage Skyline Drive postcard caught my eye as I grew up close to the start of the Skyline Drive and have never been on it. At the top of Afton Mountain, you can turn one way to get on the Blue Ridge Parkway (free) and turn another way to get on the Skyline Drive (fee). You can guess that my parents always drove the free way! Also love that Dr. Pepper bottle. I think I have one and after seeing yours, I'll be searching through my basement to see if I can find mine. Thank you so much for organizing this tour. It's going to be a pleasure to visit with everyone participating!
