Hello, friends! Are you as ready for spring as I am? Warm weather and spring flowers can’t get here too soon for me. I’ve been adding little doses of spring decor around the house and made a simple and thrifty piece of art that I’m sharing with you today. If you follow me on instagram you might have seen a sneak peek of this artwork a couple of weeks ago.
My friend Carrie at Lovely, Etc is coordinating a spring printables blog hop with freebies from over a dozen talented home/diy bloggers. You can see all of the printables and visit each blogger with the links at the bottom of this post, so keep scrolling when you’re done here!
The little area next to our basement doors has become my favorite place for vignettes ever since I put this old metal drawer cabinet there. For spring, I’ve added some faux and preserved florals from my online shop, a few vintage books and tools, and my new artwork.
I spent a couple of hours searching through public domain art and found this one a few days ago. Then I spent a couple more hours cleaning up the edges and editing it in photoshop. Next, I had it printed professionally at a place that makes art for my shop. You can get this printable for free as a gift for signing up for my newsletter at the bottom of the post. (If you’re already a subscriber, enter your email in the sign up box and you’ll be sent the link and password.)
You can send the file to your local Staples or Office Max to print it for you. I recommend having it printed 12 x 18, or you can get it in another size but you might have to trim it a little. If you need to trim it, I’d use a cutting mat and rotary wheel cutter for the straightest, cleanest cuts.
