6 Quick and Easy Last Minute Fall Decorating Ideas
Simple ways to add last minute fall touches to your home
Our poor house is confused. It can’t decide if it wants to continue celebrating fall or get a head start on Christmas. It reminds me of the weather we’ve been having lately. Totally confusing. We broke a record here yesterday with a high in the mid 80’s. I actually considered wearing a sundress to a dinner we went to! On November 1st! It’s crazy.
Last week I finally added some simple fall decor to our family room mantel. I only used things I had on hand or things from our yard. It didn’t take very long to put it all together so I thought I’d share some simple last minute fall decorating ideas that can be used anywhere. No need to spend hours or lots of money.
6 Quick and Easy Fall Decor Ideas
1. Fall branches
The branches from our dogwood trees have some pretty colors so I clipped a few of them and placed them in some old metal sap buckets.
2. Fall Themed Artwork or Signs
A vintage oil painting with a fall theme takes center stage above the mantel.
3. Old Books
Old books with a soft fall palette add some character to the setting.
4. Acorns & Feathers
Feathers and acorns from the yard add more of a natural element. I wish I could find more of these feathers. They’re so pretty!
And the acorns are the perfect fall decorating item.
5. Driftwood
A few pieces of driftwood add patina and texture to the mix. And the old worn Arm & Hammer wooden crate is just the right spot to set them.
6. Throw Blankets
Honey Bunny approves. She made herself right at home on my fall colored wool throw.

You have some beautiful colors in your fall decor, everything looks like fall. I live in Okla. Our weather is crazy this year.
Love the painting on the shutters! I'll have to try that sometime.
