In this post we’ll explore the best dark green paint colors from Benjamin Moore. They range from warm and almost olive green to deep, nearly black greens. There are so many dark greens with various names and here’s a general idea of where they fall on the color spectrum.
With green paint colors, there are varying amounts of mostly blue, black, and yellow tints added to “tinting base” to create the desired final color. A few drops of each colorant can totally change the undertone of any color. Here’s a look at various undertones of dark green colors:

Rooms with dark green walls have a cozy, classic, soothing mood. Depending on the undertones, it can have a rich, regal feeling or a rustic, natural mood. Deep saturated greens have a bit of an old English feeling to them. Rooms painted green are said to be calming and remind us of being out in nature.

The most popular dark green from Benjamin Moore is Hunter Green. But Vintage Vogue has been trending upward in recent months and was the most sampled green in 2024. Best places to use dark green paint
Dark green paint colors aren’t just for your walls! There are several other great places to use greens in addition to being a your walls. Consider using it on these surfaces:

Since green is so prevalent in nature, earthy colors like clay, sand, saffron, cinnamon look amazing with it. Natural metallics like copper and antique brass are perfect for coordinating cabinet and door hardware. And of course green looks amazing with many natural wood tones.
