Favorite Things Holiday 2024 Edition
I once read a quote that said we spend the first 1/2 of our life accumulating things and the last half getting rid of them. I feel like that’s accurate, don’t you? And although I’m at the point where I’m not buying things like I used to, there are some things that make life much easier or enjoyable.
Today I’m sharing my list of favorite things from this year. Some are new, and some I’ve had for a while but am still loving them, and a few are on my wish list. Let me know in the comments what your favorite things are and I’ll take a look at them too!

Christmas and Holiday
Since it’s that time of the year I’ll start with my favorite Christmas and holiday items.
Vintage Christmas Ornaments

Many years ago I bought a large collection of vintage colorful glass Christmas ornaments and have added to them over time. I’ll never not love this beautiful, happy ornaments and they add so much energy to our living room.
Here are some new reproduction ones:
Christmas Diffuser
I’ve used a diffuser since we switched to an artificial tree to add the scent of a Christmas tree to the house. My very favorite one is the Thymes Frasier Fir. It’s not too strong and smells just like a fresh fir tree. You can get refills and new reeds when needed.
Flocked Tree
I was gifted a new flocked Christmas tree this year from King of Christmas and am really enjoying it! I bought the non-flocked version of this same tree last year and it was so easy to put up, decorate, take down and then store for the off-season. Stay tuned to see how it gets decorated this year. I’m working on that this weekend. And read my full review with close up pictures here: King of Christmas King Noble Flocked Tree Review. Shop the tree here: Flocked Christmas Tree

Fresh Cut Pop Up Tree
One of my very favorite finds this year are these adorable pop up cards from FreshCut Paper. I bought several of the little “Meowy Christmas” cards to give to family since we’re all cat lovers. There are lots of other varieties, including bouquets, and you can use them year after year! Plus they’re small so they can be used on a kitchen counter, bathroom counter, shelf, or anywhere.

Holiday Throw Pillows
Holiday throw pillows are a quick and easy item to add to your home for a cozy Christmas look. The “merry” pillow cover has been in almost every room in our home over the years. Currently on sale too!

Organizing
Plum Paper Planner
I just bought a planner from Plum Paper for the sixth year in a row. I love the fact that they allow you to choose from dozens of covers and page layouts. It’s totally customizable with a large variety of optional add-on pages too.

Kitchen
Induction Range
A little over a year ago we upgraded our old cooktop to an induction range and we absolutely love it. It heats up super quickly, is easy to clean up with warm soapy water, and looks so sleek. Scrambled eggs can be ready in less than 5 minutes and water boils in just over 2 minutes! It has convection and air-fry options as well.
Electric Tea Kettle
Every morning I make myself at least two cups of Vanilla Chai Tea and use my electric tea kettle to heat up the water quickly. It’s small and efficient, and there’s no plastic touching the hot water anywhere. It’s one of my best finds.
Cheese Grater
Gone are the days when I used to use our food processor to grate large amounts of cheese. It was/is so quick and easy. But it was a pain to get it in and out of my pantry. This little cheese grater is just as quick and easy as the food processor, plus it takes up less room to store and is lightweight and dishwasher safe.
Smart Toaster Oven
Calling this a toaster oven is really an understatement. Yes, you can toast bread in it and we do almost daily. But we also use it to bake and roast very often. The air fry option is great for crisping egg rolls, frozen French fries, or anything that is best when crispy. It’s perfect for two people or a small family and we rarely use our full-size oven these days. Best current price with $80 off for Black Friday is here: Smart Toaster Oven with Convection and Air Fry
Some of our favorite things to cook in it are:
- Casseroles
- Cookies
- Small pizzas
- Frozen foods
- Pies
- Brownies
- Roasted veggies
Battery Operated Can Opener
It’s the little things, am I right? This little battery operated can opener is one of those little things that makes my life easier and I even bought one for my mom. It has more than 100,000 positive reviews and you can get it here: Battery Operated Can Opener

Home Items
New Chandelier in our Dining Room
I recently partnered with Lowe’s to update our dining room chandelier and it’s even nicer than I had hoped! I’ve also done some other no-cost redecorating in here by swapping furniture and decor from other spaces in the house.

Swivel Chair
One of my favorite new furniture finds for our home is this adorable and affordable swivel chair from Walmart! Yes, that Walmart. It arrived in just a few days and I assembled it myself. We all fight over who gets to sit and spin in it, lol. FYI, I also got the throw blanket from Walmart, and the block print pillow is from Amazon. Both were very budget-friendly!

Sherpa Throw Blanket
I’m a sucker for a nice throw blanket and have a few too many, admittedly. Last winter I bought this gorgeous, classic throw blanket that’s sherpa on one side and cable knit on the other side. It’s oversized and is great to snuggle under while reading, watching television, or scrolling on your phone. It’s on sale as of this writing and makes a great gift!
I find bargains on really nice throw blankets here: Discounted Throw Blankets
I also have this faux fur throw blanket that’s a family favorite.

New MCM Egg Chair
We just got a new egg chair and ottoman thanks to Manhattan Home Design. I’ve always loved the look of these chairs and was thrilled when they reached out to me a few weeks ago to collaborate on a project. This chair is so comfy and is truly a conversation piece. It’s currently 20% off plus you can use the code ANGIE15 for an extra 15 off.

Our Forever Couch
We bought our Lovesac couch more than 5 years ago and still love it. We’ve added on to it and got new covers earlier this year. It’s a modular couch that can arranged in so many different configurations. And if we ever downsize we can easily make it smaller. Currently it’s 30% off with 30 month financing available here: Lovesac Black Friday Sale. Read my 5-year review here: Lovesac Couch 5-year review

Travel
Backpack
I bought this backpack in September to take as my carry-on for a trip to California. It has lots of compartments including one for your laptop. It has a strap that slides over a suitcase handle to make it a breeze to take through the airport, and it also fits perfectly underneath an airplane seat.
I also carried it on a couple of hikes while we were traveling, and have used it as an overnight bag. It’s super versatile and is prettier than my hiking backpack that I used to take on trips. Various sizes and colors are available. I have the Bancroft Moonless Night in Nylon.
Hydrobag

I walk and hike a lot and don’t always want or need to carry a backpack. I like to take my water bottle and keys with me and love this little insulated crossbody water bottle carrier with zippered compartments. It’s also great for travel and is at the top of my wish list. It’s available in dozens of colors.
