Favorite Fall Trends for Home and Fashion
It’s finally fall!!! I can’t wait for the temperature to drop and the leaves to show off their glorious fall colors. I’ve been updating a few key pieces of my fall wardrobe and adding some new items to the home and wanted to share some of my favorite finds.
Here’s what I’m loving this fall.

Blanket scarves. I’ve been trying to get out of a fashion slump and was looking at trends recently and saw these huge scarves. I love the look of them but never seem to be able to wear them right. This one screamed fall to me so I decided to use it as a throw blanket instead of a scarf. What do you think? Would you wear it as a scarf or use it as a cozy throw, or both?
BOOTS!! This isn’t a new trend for certain. I’ve loved boots for years and worn out a few pairs but I had to include them in my favorites post. I’ve invested in a new pair or two from Amazon of all places. I had never ordered shoes from there before but it was so easy and they offer free shipping on returns for prime members of the shoes don’t fit right. And the prices were the best I’ve found!
Copper. Copper mugs, copper chargers, copper pumpkins, copper boilers….I’m seeing it and other metallics everywhere and am loving it. Vintage or vintage-looking is my favorite.
Wood. Whether it’s dough bowls filled with pumpkins and pine cones or natural wood toned furniture, I’m loving it these days. I still enjoy painted furniture, but you know that saying about too much of a good thing. It’s not good.
I recently splurged on a new wood table that I’ve had my eye on for our landing zone in the kitchen and I’m so glad I did. It’s perfect for the space and has a bottom shelf that I can decorate and drawers for organizing smaller items. I think (hope) it’s really going to help keep this area from getting too cluttered and messy. I even added our vintage olive bucket as our recycling bin. What do you think?
Pumpkins. It wouldn’t be much of a fall favorites post if I didn’t mention pumpkins. I love to decorate with them. Large and small, orange, white or green, I don’t discriminate. I even added a ceramic casserole pumpkin to our new table (above) for a pop of orange.
